JPEF and P.Kesavadev Trust organised the JPEF-UK Endocrine Update on 7th March at Vivanta by Taj. Lecture on ‘Management of erectile dysfunction and hypogonadism in diabetes’ was by Dr Steve Davies, Senior Consultant in Endocrinology, University Hospital of Wales, ‘Therapeutic advances in management of lipid disorders’ was by Dr Alan Rees, Chairman, The Society of Physicians in Wales. ‘Advances in insulin therapy: a leap forward from premix to modern co-formulations’ was by Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev. Dr.Atul Kalhan, Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology, Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Wales lectured on ‘Dapagliflozin as monotherapy and add on in type 2 diabetes: global guidelines and emerging evidence’. Dr.S.Madhusudanan, Former Professor of Medicine, Medical College, Trivandrum, Dr.Mathew Thomas, Professor of Medicine and Hematology, KIMS, Trivandrum, Dr.Vasudevan Potty, Additional Professor, Department of Urology, Medical College, Trivandrum and Dr.Arun Shankar, Centre Head, JDC1 chaired the sessions.
