JPEF Mini CME organized by JPEF marked the launch of Lyxumia(Lixisenatide), the fourth GLP-1 RA in India at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn on 21st May 2016. Dr. Neeta Deshpande, Consultant Diabetologist, Belgaum Diabetes Centre and Children’s Diabetes Centre, Belgaum was the guest speaker. She lectured on ‘Scope of GLP-1 and therapy evolution in last 5 years. Dr. Mathew John, Chief Endocrinologist, Providence Endocrine and Diabetes Specialty Centre, Trivandrum lectured on ‘The cardio safety aspects of GLP-1’. Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on ‘A positive addition for Optimization: Lyxumia with basal insulin’. The sessions were chaired by Dr. Arun Shankar Unit Head, JDC Trivandrum. More than 80 doctors attended and interacted.
