DiabetesIndia Regional Update was held at Hotel Lalit Srinagar on 30 & 31 May 2014. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev delivered 3 lectures including a Debate. He lectured on ‘Impact of new basal insulin on care in diabetes: a clinician's view’ on 30th May and in a debate with Dr. Narsingh Verma (Lucknow) on ‘Will Incretin Therapy delay Early Insulinization? His lecture on ‘Insulin Pumps: Where are we and what is the future?’ on 31st May was well appreciated.He also chaired a session on ‘Lipids & CVD in 2014: Focus on Novel Pitavastatin’ by Dr.Banshi Saboo.The first ever conference to be held in Srinagar, the academic feast had all the prominent diabetologists from all over India participating the conference.Dr.Anuj Maheswari was the Organizing Secretary for the conference. Dr.A.H.Zargar (Chief Advisor,Srinagar). Dr.SM.Sadikot(Mambai),Dr.S.R.Aravind (Secretary General, DI), Dr.Banshi Saboo (Executive Sec.DI) were present.
