World Congress of Diabetes, DiabetesIndia 2017 was organized from 23 – 26 February, 2017 at Hotel Pullman & Novotel Convention, New Delhi (Aerocity). Dr.Jothydev lectured on ‘The limitation of HbA1c: Flash Glucose Monitoring: Clinical Use’, ‘Bionic Pancreas: the dream come true’ and ‘SMBG must be adopted as an integral part of diabetes management’. He also chaired the insulin symposium session. Ms.Sunitha Jothydev lectured on ‘Mental Health Issues before and after Bariatric Surgery’.Dr.Arun Shankar lectured on ‘Interactive mobile app: need of the hour’. Gopika Krishnan chaired the workshop on ‘EMR and Technology’. The centre also presented 2 abstracts ‘Exploring reasons for insulin pump failure and suggested solutions’ and ‘twice daily iDegAsp compared to BiAsp further reduces HbA1c with negligible hypoglycemia’ at the conference.
