As part of the National Nutrition Month, an awareness program was organised by Jothydev�s Diabetes Research Centre in association with AIAARO (All India Association for Advancing Research Obesity) Kerala Chapter on 21st September 2019 at P. Kesavadev Hall, Jothydev�s Diabetes Research Centre. The event was exuberant with the lively involvement of the versatile JDC team. Mr. Jayapalan Nair, Director, JDC, gave the welcome speech. Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev Talked on �Diabetes: Heart, Kidney, Eyes and Sexuality�. Dr. Arun Shankar, Medical Director, JDC, offered a talk on �Importance of Diabetes- the extent to which it affects family�. Ms. Geethu Sanal, Chief Dietician talked on �Good food for good health�. �Insulin injection techniques, glucometer demonstration and diabetes mobile app demonstration were handled by Ms.Akhila, Staff Nurse, JDC. Ms. Gopika Krishnan explained the involvement of JDC in diabetes research and on the benefits of telemedicine for patients. Vote of thanks was offered by Mrs. Sunitha Jothydev. Added attraction of the event was the display of foods rich in various nutrients with an aim to increase the awareness about healthy eating among diabetes patients.
