P.Kesavadev Trust-Type 1 Diabetes Sweet Stars (KT1DP) and Kerala Type 1 Diabetic Welfare Society, jointly organized a virtual Educational event in the context of World Diabetes Month, on 29th November 2020. The 2 hr program covered topics such as Type 1: How to shape the mind?, How to maintain happiness in life forever, Food and some simple calculations, When to start newer technologies? Many Type-1 stars volunteered themselves and shared their experience on technologies and their mental struggles. The dynamic participation of patients, their family along with experts made the event a success. The pinnacle of the program was the session on mental health of patients as well as their family by Mr.Santhosh Sisupal. Ms.Sunitha Jothydev also spoke on coping skills in type 1 diabetes. The experts from Jothydev�s Diabetes Research Centre, Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr.Arun Shankar, Ms.Gopika Krishnan, Dr.Ashwin David Ashok, Dr.Sajna Shijin, Ms.Geethu Sanal and Ms.Viji Krishna engaged in the program. Mr.Abdul Jaleel, Secretary of Kerala Type 1 Diabetic Welfare Society delivered the welcome address. The event was formally inaugurated by Mr.Vijesh TR, President, Kerala Type 1 Diabetic Welfare Society. This was followed by a discussion involving the experts. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Mr.Jeevan Jacob, State Treasurer of Kerala Type 1 Diabetic Welfare Society.
