Diabscreen Kerala is a major diabetes awareness project of P.Kesavadev Trust. The Diabscreen Kerala team, headed by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, conducts diabetes awareness, prevention, and treatment programs at various geographical locations in collaboration with regional organizations.

The JPEF Mini CME, Distinct Diabetes and GLP 1 summit was hosted by Novo Nordisk in association with JPEF on 20 April 2022, from 07:30 pm. The program was set off by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev with a brief welcome. Dr. Ajith Kumar PV set the context of the first plenary session, Pragmatic approach in diabetes management. The session began with a lecture on Novel insights into diabetes pathophysiology by Dr.Sunil Prasobh P, followed by Dr. Thushanth Thomas, who spoke on Subduing the enemy of adequate glycemic control- clinical inertia. Dr. Tiny Nair spoke on shifting paradigms in diabetes care: glucocentricity to gluco-cardio-centricity. The session was concluded with a panel discussion with Dr. Rajmohan L, Dr. Ajith Kumar S, and Dr. Arun V as the panelists. The context of the second plenary session Novo Nordisk game-changer symposium was set by Dr. Sanjay Zachariah. Dr. Mathew John, Dr. Tittu Oommen and Dr. Prasanth Sankar spoke on Inception of a game-changing idea: delivering peptide in a pill, Oral semaglutide: PIONEERing innovation translating research to outcomes and Wake up to the newer possibilities with oral semaglutide respectively. This was followed by a panel discussion with the experts, Dr. Sukesh R S, Dr. Anand Marthanda Pillai and Dr. Mohan T Shenoy. Subsequently, there was the launch of Rybelus, the oral semaglutide. The last technical session of the event was an expert talk show comprising Dr. Krishnakumar B, Dr. Noble Gracious, Dr. Abhilash Nair, and Dr. Sumesh Raj. The event was concluded by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev. 100 doctors from around Trivandrum and Kollam participated in the educational event.
