The DREAMS (Diabetes Resources Education & Awareness Advocacy Mentorship and Support) project was launched on 25 September 2023 at Kesavadev Hall in Trivandrum. DREAMS is the third phase of the type 1 diabetes education and awareness program by P. Kesavadev Trust. The event was inaugurated by Malayalam actor and director Padma Bhushan Shri Mohanlal, by presenting �Dreams Smart Kits� to three type 1 kids. The �DREAMS Type 1 Registry� was inaugurated by Shri.V Sivankutty (Education Minister of Kerala). DREAMS Diabetes Academy was inaugurated by Smt.R Bindu (Minister of Higher Education). More than 100 type 1 children, with their families, attended the program. Ms.Priyanaka Rai, (Director of policy, global access, JDRF International and Country Director, India), Dr.Banshi Saboo (Regional Chair-Elect, IDF), and Dr.Shashank R Joshi (Chair of IDF South East Asia) also spoke at the event.
