The World Diabetes Day (WDD) JPEF Mini CME 2023, organized by the P. Kesavadev Trust in collaboration with IMA AMS, Nemom was conducted on 28th November 2023 at Hotel Residency Tower, Trivandrum. It was inaugurated by Dr. Vijayakumar J, President of IMA Nemom. Gopika Krishnan, Director of Academics, JDC, extended a welcome to the attendees. The CME featured a series of discussions on crucial topics such as Diabetes, Osteoporosis, weight management strategies, and the scientific aspects of diabetes remission. The event also covered the prevention of shingles and the latest advancements in ultra-rapid-acting insulin. The speakers at the event included Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr. Mathew John, Dr. Rajalakshmi A, and Dr. Vishnu Unnithan. The chairpersons for the sessions were Dr. Ajith Kumar S, Dr. Mohanan Nair, Dr. Syam Sundar OS, and Dr. Thankam D. The conference concluded with a quiz competition, where Dr. Junaid Naina, RSSDI Fellow, JDC Trivandrum, won first place, followed by Dr. Vishnu and Dr. Anand Stephen in second and third places, respectively. The event was attended by 220 doctors.
