Diabscreen Kerala is a major diabetes awareness project of P.Kesavadev Trust. The Diabscreen Kerala team, headed by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, conducts diabetes awareness, prevention, and treatment programs at various geographical locations in collaboration with regional organizations.

Karikuzhi Rubber Society and P.Kesavadev Trust jointly organised a free diabetes detection, awareness and treatment camp at Karikuzhi R P S Hall.Dr.Shabeer A Rasheed was the chief organiser. (Vice president, RPS).Felicitations by K Sreeraman nair, Mohana Chandran nair, Panavur Sharaf, Vinod Lopez, etc., Dr.Jothydev conducted a very interactive lecture for 2 hrs.Dr.Shabeer, Dr.Reshmi T.N, Sreejith Pongomoodu(Physiotherapist),
Jayasreelally(DTMS Officer), Bindu, Geetha Sasidharan, Sivaprasad,Unnikrishnan etc., from the Diabscren Kerala team co ordinated all the activities.
More than 135 subjects underwent lab, physical exams.

One doctor told me that exercise is not important in diabetes but we have to consider medicines with the same importance as diet. What is your opinion?
Ans: Your doctor might have told you that you should not be exercising too much when sugars are very high.You should consider all three: diet, exercise and medications with the same importance.
