When I got my blood sugar done today morning it was 220mg.This is the first time I am diagnosed to have diabetes. Is it ok if I just control my diet and exercise daily?

Answer:

The answer was "YES" until a few years back.However now we know that diabetes is usually diagnosed several years after its occurrence. It makes sense if you can spent some time out of your work and have all blood tests, eye, kidney and heart also tested. If in case time and money are major limitations you may avoid it.But if you do it on time, in future you save lot of money and also will remain healthy.
