The 12th session of the DREAMS Diabetes Academy was held on October 2, 2025, through the DREAMS Academy web portal. Ms. Geethu Sanal, Chief Dietician at Jothydev’s Diabetes Hospital and Research Centre, delivered an informative lecture titled “The Great Carb Adventure: Count, Match, Correct.”
The session focused on carbohydrate counting and practical strategies to prevent hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. Key concepts such as Glycemic Index (GI), Insulin Sensitivity Factor (ISF), and Insulin-to-Carb Ratio (ICR) were explained with practical examples. The program concluded with an interactive Q&A, reinforcing essential concepts for effective diabetes management.
