A diabetes education programme jointly organised by the P. Kesavadev Trust and Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre was held in Kanhangad, Kasaragod, bringing together individuals living with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. During the programme, Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev inaugurated a dedicated care-support initiative for 30 underprivileged children with Type 1 diabetes. As part of this charitable initiative, the beneficiaries received six months of analogue insulin therapy (basal and rapid-acting) along with FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) support, enhancing access to safe and contemporary diabetes management. The event also featured structured education sessions and interactive guidance aimed at strengthening day-to-day self-care and family preparedness.
