Diabscreen Kerala is a major diabetes awareness project of P.Kesavadev Trust. The Diabscreen Kerala team, headed by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, conducts diabetes awareness, prevention, and treatment programs at various geographical locations in collaboration with regional organizations.

Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev delivered a talk during the RSSDI Insight-DM Knowledge Exchange Series on the topic “Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Protocols.” The session emphasized the critical need for systematic screening strategies, risk stratification, and the adoption of technology-enabled detection, including artificial intelligence, to reduce preventable vision loss among individuals with diabetes. It also highlighted the importance of integrating retinal evaluation within the broader cardio-kidney-metabolic (CKM) risk framework to enable comprehensive, coordinated, and outcome-driven diabetes care.
