It was yet another delightful day for JDC with the Novartis Global team headed by Mr.David Epstein, Division Head, Novartis Pharmaceuticals(Member of the Executive Committee of Novartis), Switzerland visiting the center to emulate the business style unique to the center. The team of 12 members were received with a warm welcome by Ms. Sunitha Jothydev, Director, JDC. Gopikakrishnan, Head of Research, JDC Centres, co ordinated the program. A short presentation by Mr. Jayapalan.A, Director, Operations, JDC took the team through the 'Genesis & Development of JDC'. Dr. Arun Shankar, Consultant, JDC explained 'A Day at JDC' giving the team a crisp but clear picture of the clinic functioning. Research activities at the center was presented by Dr. Pradeep Babu. Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev shared with the team the ' Success story and our dreams' for the future followed by a lively interaction with the global team. The questions on the Diabetes Tele Management System (DTMS) were vividly answered by Dr. Jothydev and the team was highly impressed by the cost effectiveness of the model. His pioneering activities in the field of insulin pumps,CGM and in popularising the immunization schedule were highly appreciated by the Global team.
