The 8th Kesavadev Awards were announced at the Press Club, Trivandrum on 19th July 2012. Kesavadev Literary Award was announced for Sri.P.Govinda Pillai, veteran Communist Party of India leader and ideologue. The Diabscreen Kerala Kesavadev Award went to Mr. Santhosh Sisupal, Editor, Manorama �Arogyam� for his health related article �Ee Verpaadukal Parayunnath�. The Award which consists of a statuette designed by B.D.Duttan and cash prize would be presented to the award winners on 8th July 2012. The Kesavadev Literary Award Committee consisted of Smt. Seethalekshmi Dev, Dr. George Onakoor, Dr. Deshamangalam Ramakrishnan and Shri. Vijayakrishnan. The Diabscreen Kerala Award Committee included Dr.N.Ahmed Pillai, Dr.P.G.Balagopal and Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev.
