Diabscreen Kerala is a major diabetes awareness project of P.Kesavadev Trust. The Diabscreen Kerala team, headed by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, conducts diabetes awareness, prevention, and treatment programs at various geographical locations in collaboration with regional organizations.

Jothydev's Professional Education Forum(JPEF) CME on 21st March 2015 at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn, Trivandrum focused the introduction of the new class of oral hypoglycemic agents, the SGLT2 inhibitors. The CME saw a massive participation of 150 physicians with interactive discussions on the new molecule that will hit Indian market in a matter of few weeks. Dr. Arun Shankar, Consultant Diabetologist and Unit Head, JDC lectured on ADA EASD Position Statement 2015. Th session was chaired by Dr. Sukesh, PRS Hospital, Trivandrum. Dr. S.R. Aravind, Secretary General, DiabetesIndia and President Elect RSSDI 2014-2015 lectured on 'Looking beyond insulin dependent pathway' an introductory lecture to the mechanisms of action of SGLT2i. Dr. K.P.Paulose, SUT Hospital, Pattom, Trivandrum, chaired the session. Dr. S. Venkataraman, Apollo Hospital, Chennai had his deliberation on 'Achieving broader treatment success with SGLT2 inhibitors' with chair as Dr. Chacko Varghese, SUT Hospital, Trivandrum. 'Dapagliflozin: new science simplified' was the topic of lecture for Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev. The session was chaired by Dr. Hari T.A, Kims, Trivandrum. Senior doctors including Dr. Josemon Thomas, Dr. Ramesan Pillai, Dr. Madhusudanan, Dr. Murukesan, Dr. Aswini Kumar, Dr. Jacob George, Dr. Thankam etc. actively participated in the discussion.
