In connection with World Diabetes Day Celebrations, P.Kesavadev Trust conducted a very unique programme first time in the history. The veteran leader Shri.K.Karunakaran flagged off this unique rally. The diabetes awareness rally became a very different experience and a visual treat because of the symbolization of diabetic complications with the help of a decorated vehicle displaying health education messages with living examples of amputation, blindness, abdominal obesity, frailty etc. vividly arranged. Thousands of balloons were let into the open sky symbolizing freedom from diabetes.

In addition to the involvement of all age groups, the rally was attended by famous actors Mallika Sukumaran, Harikumaran Thampi, Moni Lal, Kishore, Director Radhakrishnan Mangalath etc.etc who helped in the effective dissemination of messages on prevention of diabetes complications.

One vehicle was solely used for transmission of audio messages on tips on prevention of diabetes foot care, dental care, eye care etc while the magnificent procession moved along the main streets of the capital city of Kerala State.
