As part of World Diabetes Month, P. Kesavadev Trust and JDC lighted the Trivandrum Central Railway Station on 13-14 Nov 2015. "Blue monument lighting" is an IDF campaign to spread the message of diabetes awareness. Trivandrum Central Railway Station is the busiest and largest railway station in Kerala and is a landmark of the capital city,Trivandrum. It was inaugurated during the reign of Sethu Lakshmi Bayi, Maharani of Travancore in 1931.Built completely with rock masonry and no bricks. This historical monument was selected this year so that the message on silent and hidden complications of diabetes and the significance of eating less and being physically active reaches millions.
