Dr Jothydev conducted Diabscreen awareness talk at Saraswathy hospital, Parassala. Dr Ajaiyakumar. S.K, the renowned surgeon delivered the welcome speech. Diabscreen PRO Pradeep Kannamoola gave the introductory speech. More than 300 patients participated.

Qn. Patient: My sugar is high. If I am put on insulin can I stop it after sometime?
An. Dr Jothydev: Insulin dependence in diabetes depends on the stage in which insulin is started in a patient. Insulin can be started at any stage of the disease including at the time of diagnosis. However, if started very late in the course of the illness chances are that it may have to be continued life long.
