Kesavadev Hall was inaugurated by Shri.Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in memory of the legendary writer and freedom fighter, P.Kesavadev at JDC, Trivandrum. This hall will be primarily meant for education related to diabetes and lifestyle disorders. Shri. Kodiyeri described Kesavadev as the writer who started his works in the era of transformation to modern Kerala. He was inspired by the Russian revolution. He recalled an incident in Kesavadev�s autobiography when the little Kesavan went for a hunger strike to take him along for the Sabarimala temple visit. Shri. Kodiyeri stressed the significance of educating the masses in preventing and treating diabetes which is more important than prescribing medications. Shri.N.Sakthan, Shri. V.Sivankutty, Smt.Mallika Sukumaran, Shri. Suresh Babu, Vishnu Prasad, Yunnus Kunju, Dr.Arun Shankar, Sunitha Jothydev etc.spoke. Smt. Seethalekshmy Dev chaired the function.
