Jothydev's professional Education Forum, Diabetes Endocrinology UK mini CME as part of the Online Foundation Course in Diabetes which is accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners and endorsed by Diabetes UK Cymru was held at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn on 30 March 2017 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Lectures included ‘Management of hypogonadism in Diabetes’ by Dr.Stephen Davies(Senior Consultant in Endocrinology, University Hospital of Wales), ‘Aldosterone and parathyroid hormones working in tandem?’ And ‘Type 2 DM: do we need a paradigm shift in management approach’ by Dr Atul Kalhan(Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology, Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Wales), Therapeutic advances in management of lipid disorders BY Dr.Alan Rees( ‘Chairman, The Society of Physicians in Wales), ‘Long term outcomes vascular reconstruction in subjects with diabetes by Dr. R.C Sreekumar(Vascular Surgeon, SCTIMST), ‘Existing and Evolving insulin delivery devices including Artificial Pancreas’ and ‘Update on GLP-1 agonists in the management of type 2 diabetes’ by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev. Dr.S.Madhusoodanan, Dr.Vasudevan Potty, Dr.Benny P.V and Dr.Arun Shankar chaired the sessions.
