The World Congress on the Prevention of Diabetes and Its Complications (WCPD) and Diabetes Research & Solutions (DRS) Conference took place from 30th August to 1st September 2024 at Hotel Westin Powai Lake, Mumbai. Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev contributed on 31st August with a session on the weight-centric approach in Type 2 diabetes management, addressing the integration of drugs, diet, and the challenge of diabesity. He also chaired a debate on the role of technology in diabetes distress and co-chaired a keynote session with Dr. Peter Schwarz, featuring expert talks by Dr. Juan Pablo Frias and Dr. William Herman on the future of obesity treatment and cost-effectiveness of diabetes prevention strategies, respectively.
