Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre (JDC), in collaboration with Kesavadev Trust and the Indian Medical Association
(IMA) Nemom, successfully hosted a two-day workshop titled “From AP to Automated Insulin Delivery” on December 21
and 22, 2024, at JDC, Trivandrum. The event brought together a diverse group of doctors from Kerala, Tamil Nadu,
Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and even participants from outside India. The workshop focused on advancing
diabetes care through automated insulin delivery systems, providing attendees with an opportunity to learn from
distinguished faculty and engage in insightful discussions on the latest developments in diabetes management.
The workshop featured a well-structured program with lectures, case discussions, and hands-on sessions. Highlights included sessions on
hyperglycemia management, the history of automated insulin delivery systems, and insights into the advanced hybrid closed loop (AHCL)
system available in Indian market, MiniMed™ 780G System. The event also included practical sessions on patient onboarding and therapy
management, led by an experienced multidisciplinary team. The interactive and practical nature of the workshop was widely appreciated by
attendees, who valued the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in cutting-edge diabetes technology. The event concluded with a
certification ceremony, marking a significant contribution to the professional development of healthcare providers in diabetes care.
