The prestigious World Congress of Diabetes Technology and Therapeutics (DTechCon) was conducted in Kochi, Kerala from 17th to 19th of May 2024, at Hotel Crowne Plaza.

The conference was inaugurated by the chief guest, Mr. Susanth Kurunthil (CEO, Infopark, Kochi), and the guest of honor, Dr. Peter Schwarz (President Elect, IDF), Dr. V. Mohan (RSSDI Patron), Dr. Shashank Joshi (Chair: IDF SEA), Dr. Julia Mader (Chair: EASD PG Education Committee), Dr. Banshi Saboo (Founder, D-Tech), Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev (Org. Chairman), Dr. Pratik Choudhary (Scientific Chair), Dr. Manoj Chawla (Scientific Co-Chair), Dr. Mithun Bhartia (Org. Secretary), Dr. Amit Gupta (Secretary, D-Tech), and Dr. Rakesh Parikh (Treasurer, D-Tech).

Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev presented talk on ‘Starting and maintenance’ of insulin pump along with Dr.Pratik Choudhary. He also lectured on ‘An overview of significant clinical trials with CGM’. Dr.Arun Shankar lectured on ‘CGM in people without diabetes’ at the conference. Ms.Gopika Krishnan presented a talk on ‘DIY in India: Merits and Demerits’. Dr.Jothydev, Dr.Arun Shankar, Dr.Yaseen Unes, Dr.Ashwin David Ashok and Ms.Sunitha Jothydev also were chairpersons for various sessions at the conference.

The conference came to an end on 19th May 2024. Around 600 doctors and HCPs participated in the event. Multiple newspaper articles and reports were also published about DTechCon, via various social media platforms.
