Diabscreen Kerala is a major diabetes awareness project of P.Kesavadev Trust. The Diabscreen Kerala team, headed by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, conducts diabetes awareness, prevention, and treatment programs at various geographical locations in collaboration with regional organizations.

Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev addressed an enthusiastic gathering during a free diabetes awareness, screening, and treatment camp held at Vyapaari Bhavan, Kanhangad, organized by Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Center and P. Kesavadev Trust, in association with the Kanhangad Merchants Association Youth Wing.
The camp was inaugurated by Ms. K. V. Sujatha Teacher, Chairperson of Kanhangad Municipality, with Mr. Shereek Kammadam, President of the Youth Wing, chairing the session. Dr. Shahana Yasmin, Center Head & Diabetologist of the upcoming JDC Kasaragod, led the camp activities, and Ms. Aisha Mirza, Dietitian, JDC Kasaragod, conducted an informative talk on healthy dietary practices for diabetes management.
The event was graced by CK Asif, President of the Kanhangad Merchants Association, as Chief Guest. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Gopika Krishnan, Director of Academics, followed by felicitations from Balakrishnan Master, Former CPM District Secretary, Kasaragod, and Mr. Sharafudhin PP. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. R.K. Kammath, General Secretary, Kanhangad Merchants Youth Wing.
Ms. Sunitha Jothydev, Executive Director of Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centers, shared words of appreciation. Members of the Kerala Type 1 Diabetic Welfare Society, led by Mr. Abdul Jaleel, actively participated along with children and parents.
The camp was seamlessly coordinated by the JDC team led by Hari Prasad, Director of Public Relations, with active support from Rubin, Anu Mariam, and others.
