- World Diabetes Day Walkathon 2025, Trivandrum

As part of World Diabetes Day 2025 initiatives, Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Center (JDC), Thiruvananthapuram, organised a high-energy walkathon to raise awareness on diabetes prevention, early detection, and the importance of healthy lifestyle practices. The event brought together patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community supporters, all walking in solidarity to promote healthier living and sustained diabetes awareness.
A notable highlight of the event was the participation of Shri. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, who joined the walk and extended his support toward strengthening diabetes awareness and public health advocacy during World Diabetes Month. The programme was led by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev and Dr. Arun Shankar, with excellent coordination and support from Hari Prasad, Geethu Sanal, and the dedicated JDC team.
The walkathon reflects JDC’s ongoing mission to inspire informed lifestyle choices, empower individuals through education, and improve diabetes outcomes across Kerala and beyond.
