On World Diabetes Day 2025, Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev participated as faculty in the Virtual CME focusing on practical updates in insulin therapy. The session highlighted the ongoing widespread use of human insulin despite decades of availability of modern insulin analogs and stressed the need to increase awareness on benefits such as reduced hypoglycemia, improved ease of use, and fewer dosing errors.
Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev discussed real world challenges in managing insulin therapy, including post-meal glucose spikes, regimen selection, and in-hospital insulin strategies, alongside other national experts. The programme successfully reinforced the importance of continued education, improved access, and patient-centred diabetes care.
