Diabscreen Kerala Free Camp was organized by Kerala Catholic Youth Movement of Mary Rani Church, Mudavanmugal and Kesavadev Trust on 6th July 2014. Anthropometric measurements and blood tests were performed for the participants of the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Rev. Fr.Syril Puthiyaamparambil(K.C.Y.M Director). Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev distributed prizes to the award winners of the church. He spoke on steps to prevent diabetes and lifestyle illnesses in the youth. Dr. Arun Shankar also interacted and detailed on the management of diabetes. Greeshma Mohan discussed healthy diet and lifestyle habits to be followed in diabetes. Free consultation and free medicines were provided to all the participants. Diet and lifestyle advises were also given. Aneesa Nizam, Geetha Biju, Remya Nair, Gopika Krishnan etc. were part of the diabetes team. Ms. Sunitha Jothydev and Prasad JDC coordinated the camp. Ms.Neethu gave welcome and Benny R.H(Treasurer, K.C.Y.M) gave felicitations. Mr.Syril John(President, KC.Y.M) chaired the event.
